A little transporter pulled out today and the waybill says six business days to MA. The crew was so fast getting the white Studebaker into the transporter, I didn't even get a picture of it. There will be a Studey in the Carrera Panamericana this year.

Another entry showed up today; this one a BRG C-Type Jaguar from HRW Jim. Looks very nice!



We're getting up near 20 cars now, with quite a few more due I'm shortly. So, it's shaping up to be a very nice field of cars for the second running of this event.

Two more cars arrived today; one from retro racer 44 and one from tsgtret.

Well, the party can start now................because we have a Studebaker Champion in the house...........!!!!! :banana-dance: :banana-dance: :banana-dance:

This one has a substantially stronger body than the first two (this is Keith's 3rd Stude submission to this proxy; the first two had body post/body attachment breakages). Thanks to Keith for hanging in there and getting us a great looking Stude for this season's starting grid. :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:



The second one is Dave's Mercedes-Bens 300 SL roadster. This one also looks great and comes with both a driver and a copilot. Looks ready to race with just a little "weathering in" on the body. With this wheelbase and track, the car should run well. Good to see Bob Taylor in on this second running of the Panamericana fun run!



We're at 20 cars in the house now; still about 12 more to come (including 2 from yours truly.................)

Woohoo! There will be a Studebaker in the PanAm 2.

The first bodies were too brittle, and at first I thought this one had gone too far to flexible. I even cut bits of an old yoga mat to fit inside during travel to maintain the body shape. It worked, and now let's see how it does. I don't expect it to beat the sports cars, but unless the guys send much faster sedans than last year, it should not embarrass itself.

Mine should be heading out this week. I was delayed more by some time off for my wife's knee surgery.
Body is mostly done, and motor mounted in the MRRC chassis after all. I'm hoping it works out, seems smooth on the track here.
Pictures coming this evening.

I work better under pressure anyway. :)

OK, Mike. I'll keep an eye out for it.

In the meantime...............we got two more cars today; one from Chris (chrisguyw) and one from Steve (redlynr).

Chris' is a Porsche 356 A roadster and looks like it came out of a commercially prepared RTR box. One thing that I can never get over on Chris' cars is that they look as good as they run; great combination of modeling and tuning talent there. :handgestures-thumbup: :handgestures-thumbup:



Next up is a nice Corvette. Looks good and feel smooth in the hand when you spin the wheels. Undoubtedly, this car will be quick!
