This is a pic of last year's La Carrera Panamericana field; taken at Jeff's (dge467) track. No other race ever brought together a more diversified group of cars - that's for sure! Whether is was Corvettes or Cords, Hudsons or Studebakers, Ferraris or Porsche and almost anything else you can think of, they ran in the La Carrera Panamericana from 1950-54.

The breadth of cars is too large to list, so I'm going to link you to a site called racingsportscars, which has all the entrants from all the years listed and, in some cases, pics of the actual cars. Here you go - have fun choosing your car(s)!

That's a lot of cars to choose from! Have fun looking at the pics!

OK I am building away but am a bit confused by this thread of eligible cars.
I thought anything from 50 to 64 was eligible .
Can someone set me straight here.
Thanks
Bob

Hi Bob,

'60 is the official cut-off, with an emphasis on cars that actually ran in the 5 years of the La Carrera Panamericana race ('50-'54). It was the Mercedes-Benz crash at Le Mans in '55 that caused the Mexican government to cancel the La Carrera, since it was well-known, by that time, for it's crashes and driver deaths.
