Bolton's Speed Shop latest project '56 Buick Stocker

Postby BRP32 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:24 pm

It's been awhile since Bolton's Speed Shop built anything.

With the bad weather we got here In Cleveland with the power outages and flooding things came to a stand still for awhile.

Now that the basement is dry again until the next storm, this is my latest creation coming together.

It is an old Revell '56 Buick 1/32 kit that Mark (Derbycity Speedway) just sold to Chris(Cagee13) in a hodge podge lot.

I inquired about it and Chris graciously passed it along to me!

Thanks guys!

So far this is what I have.....

The Buick body is sitting on a monogram stock car chassis. It fits like a glove actually!

I hope to get this car looking in close proximity to this old stocker below.

Still a lot of work to go.

I will update as this project progresses along.

Hi Guys!

Thanks!

This should be a fun build and a little different from the norm also.

Hi Harry!

I definitely need an oval!!!!

Mark(DerbyCity Speedway) got the body to this point now I have to finish it.

This '56 Buick is something a little different you don't see regularly and will add variety to my field of '55 Chevies.

I have a router and a power supply. I just need some controllers and some copper tape or braid which you did to your tracks which looks amazing by the way!

Just need more real estate for another oval of track now.....

Looks good so far. Where are you going to get the m-1 decals? Jim

Not sure about the decals yet?

If I don't duplicate the real car in that pic above it will be somewhat close or possibly a freelance paint job there of.

I haven't got that far yet!

I'm going to let this one lead me in the direction it wants to go in and see how it turns out.......

Sometimes that makes for some of the coolest old hot rod racers...... :D :D :D
