Your Slot.it Porsche GT1 Feedback

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Tue Oct 23, 2012 5:17 pm

Anyone who has this new car from Slot.it, please give your thoughts.

I passed on it for now, too many irons in that old fire.

Great, MG. I'm a detail freak when I'm building or detailing a RTR, but I tend to be less than a true rivet counter. But I really enjoy seeing what genuine rivet counters find.

It good enough for me! The extra lights in the nose would be cool but I'm sure it would be a bear. I love it. I just hope it runs as good as it looks.

Great stuff. This is very good info.

I take a LOT of the critique I see with HEAVY grains of salt. Most of those guys do nothing but complain, no matter how good it is.

I just got my white kit and to me it looks spot on. I'll be getting decals from Pattos early next week. It appears to me that the white kit is white unpainted plastic so it will require some paint before decalling.

There are a lot of cars that are "wrong". Thankfully most of us ignore these findings and enjoy them anyway.

Now when you get yours, please give us your thoughts. I think a wide variety of reviews about this car is well deserved.

Great post. You are an ok guy, I don't care what those guys in Chi-Town say behind your back :)

Dang, this thing is fast with the mag in. I took some photos to compare the Fly to this one. I'll have them up in the morning. I can wait to yank the mag. I'll keep ya posted on that.

Great work Mick!!!

...Its good enough for me, this scale scale scale thing has always been about in this hobby, if they are so bound up over it, go diecast, these models are meant to be run and enjoyed!!!

I dont like anything that has glaring mistakes (Mmmm the latest Scalextric THING I had a spit about is a case in point), but man, this new Porsche is good :)

Cheers,

Rupert.

I think most of us just want a good balance. Slot.it has always provided that in my opinion.

Allright Bruce, can't wait.

MG..I was just joking of course.

Looking at them side by side, they didn't look that different sizewise. Seeing the photo on a bigger screen make the Slot.it look ginormous. I think tonight I going to measure them. It may just be that one's on a base and the other on the track.

The car I bought was awesome. I'm pretty sure w/o the mag I'm going to need some weight in the front. The tires seem to have a lot of grip but this could be masked by the mag. I'll try to get some non-mag feedback tonight.
