Well, I'm dumbfounded. I expected to place solidly in the rear. It never entered my mind that I'd win. Holy smokes! I guess it was more the driver than the car! Thanks to Jeremy, Harry, or whomever was at the trigger!
Here are some close-ups of the Goosemobile.
The navigator was replaced by a 1/24 scale Preiser goose, held in place with modelling putty.
Making the insert for the case was just as much fun as the car itself. See the logo above the rear fender? Cool Trains is the hobby shop that I buy all of my paint from, located in Salunga, PA.
The rear of the car is what I'm most proud of. Those taillights broke in to five different pieces when I removed them. It took a steady hand and some super glue to get them back to stock. Yeah, I glued my fingers together too- twice.
This was a lot of fun and a heck of a learning experience. Thanks to Jeremy for organizing and hosting this, and to Bruce for agreeing to let these go at discount prices to all of us. I can't wait to set the car on my shelf with the turkey trophy right next to it. That thing is great! :D
