I don't remember the Bonner's, but then I don't remember a lot of things that happened that long ago. I do remember the Ram-Buchi's. Some of the fastest motors I remember were the VersiTech's, or rewound Mabuchi's like Mura's or French's. Then there were the Champions of which were the first motors with soft cobalt magnets, they actually had brakes compared to most. I had several Champion motored cars. The adjustable ohmage MRC's were our choice for controllers. Do you remember the "Potato Masher" controllers? Basically an expensive on and off switch, they never worked right. :)

oldtymer, yes the Catalunya track is just outside of Barcelona. I don't know if it's used for F1 these days, but it's a normal part of the MotoGP circuit. I'll have a look at the Carrera tack layouts; thanks.

I've made just a couple of mods to my Slot.It Audi R18 and it's turning out to be a very nice car for me. I like both the theory and the performance of the anglewinder motor; they weren't available when I last raced at the end of '66.
