You can watch a nice video of the Renault (as we pronounce it in Kentucky - "Ra-nalt") 4L in action in the recent Monte Carlo Rally - it should earn some admiration for it:



You gotta love any car where the wheelbase on one side of the car is different than the other, and a 40 hp firebreather to boot! If it is good enough for Pope Francis to drive (he just started driving one with 180,000 miles on it last month), it's good enough for me.
