Ideas for Carrera for next Superbird & Daytona release!

Postby MoparGreg » Wed Oct 09, 2013 7:26 pm

So after just recieving the new Marcis Daytona from Carrera I cant wait to find out whats next for the Superbird & Daytona wingcars. Heres a few suggestions for what its worth. There are loads of wing cars still to make. Carrera have only just touched the surface.

For the Superbirds. Im thinking the Norm Nelson/Roger McCluskey bird

What the heck do a triple pack & include the #3 Kilbourn gardens bird to

So for the Daytona. Who could look past the Limelight Daytona of Dr Don Tarr. There were a few versions of this daytona to.

So I was thinking theres always the #36 Bugs Stevens Superbird for something a bit less known

or even the #96 Ray elder Daytona

Ok I need to stop as there is so many. If theres any wingcars you would like Carrera to make please post away!

As A mopar guy, I would say any of these cars would be fine!
If I had to pick just one of each I would go with the Roger McCluskey Superbird and the Don Tarr Daytona, both would make great looking slot cars.
I got back into slots a little over 4 years ago and Carrera's wing cars is the main reason for it!

I would be happy with any one of those! DR Don Tarr's Daytona would be a sweet one for sure!

Doing the Sal Tovella car from USAC is one of my favorites and still happy as a clam over it.

BUT, if I could wave a magic wand for a Dodge?

Marty Robbins. People who know these cars know him and the cool history behind his racing career.

Buddy baker, nuff said :)

Although Bud Moore started in this car, Pete Hamilton took over in July of that year. So you could do either version. Sponsors changed for this team quite abit as they went through some struggles. Most would not know ore care about such things...only that the car is a EYE POPPER and would look great in the series.

Hey Harry, that #1 Bud Moore charger has a tunnel rear window, not a 500 window. I built this car using an old revell 1/32 body years ago. I actually have artwork for that car, I designed them myself but I modelled it off Pete Hamilton when he was in his rookie season. Ill dig up a photo of it.

Yes that one does, but other Hamilton cars were 500 I think.

Would still look cool to me :)

Ok found the photos. This shows the rear window so it may not be so good for Carrera. Maybe a good one for Pioneer.

Heres my car. Old Revell body, stretched artin chassis with Carrera stocker wheels. I cant find any chassis shots Wow it feels like forever ago since I made this. The only thing different is I have painted the rear bumper yellow now.
