I have been trying to promote the idea of an enduro here at DeBary Glen. Probably no more than 4 hours for the initial event. But the one objection I keep hearing is that historically the finishing order is determined in the first hour and all adding more time does is increase the separation between the teams. Is this race staying close, or is one team running away with the lead?

How's the SCC braid holding up?

The SCC braid is holding up fine. The car is still black flagged from the oil spill, so the braids aren't getting worn at all...

Lights are out as we head into the dark hours...

Team CT is still in the lead, followed by NH, then QC, with MI rounding out the field...

Now to test the LEDs.

Racing in the dark with just a little bit of ambient light and the car lights!! Surprisingly, no more "off's" than when racing with the lights on. Just started the 5th rotation (each rotation has 4 heats) - 1 more rotation after this. Team CT is still leading after 4 rotations with Team NH not too far behind. Looks like we'll finish around midnight. Everyone involved is having a great time!! The pitstops add to the strategy and excitement!!
