Few pics of Derby City Visit

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Sat Aug 10, 2013 2:00 pm

Not a lot of photos as it was busy around here.

Image

Mark brought his Fly to see how they would stack up. I took second...I'm happy with that.

Image

A LeMans Miniatures Rondeau M379 B that actually runs great, but that is Mark for you.

Image

Snap-Tite Camaro body on a Pioneer stang chassis. He made the decals and really made it look great for the 1/32 Stocker Series!

Image

The showdown of the 1/24 ASA "late models". I took second again. :)

They were some great fun though and we discussed a new series with them. Time to get creative out there boys and girls. PM or email me for current rules and regulations.

Had a blast. Thanks Mark & Tracy for making the trip!

I am amazed I'm the first to respond. That visit was special. Fighting weather and flooding, bringing a good time. That's the good stuff. Thanks for the pictures, Harry.

Yes, it was touch and go and they almost did not make it.

Oh..I marinated some pork steak in some French dressing overnight. You must try this. The flavor and tenderness is as good as it gets. Slot rolled them for 2 hours and had some baked taters as big as your bicep as a side.

The General rubs butter on some foil, adds some garlic/onion salt and touch of black pepper and my rub mix. The skins are so good this way.

The racing we did was so close and we were laughing it up pretty good. Yes, a nice end of the week.

And now we have Locoracer Tom & Dr. Gary Noble visiting. Doing some modeling, racing, and here in a few we will be throwing on some of our local, homemade bratwursts. Extra onions and diced jalapenos and a good slather of hot beaver mustard.

Nice pics Boss! Glad you guys had fun and that the fun is still going on. Tell Tom and the good Doctor that I said hello please.

The Camaro is fantastic that Mark built. I love the Shelby too...but what car did I keep going back to when I was out in June? The Mopar. LOVE that thing!

I got a surprise today when it started raining in spite of the weatherman! The grid for the new track is built. I lay OSB tomorrow and the track goes down on top of it. Yeehah! I'll be wiring by Tuesday!

Nothing like good slot car racing and good food for a great time. I'm gonna work on going to HRW HQ myself. :)

You should do it, Ken. From where you are it isn't a bad drive at all.
