The report with that statement is a bit misleading. 1971 I think or 72 is when Revell first stopped. I might be off though.

The Cobra was the first slot car in our "modern era" in a long time. It was announced in 2002 and the model arrived Summer of 03.

I was going to remind everyone that this isn't the first time that R/M has stopped making slot cars. I would guess that if market numbers started to rise again that they would consider jumping back into the fray. Judging by how many McLarens that Electric dreams has been practically giving away that may have been the straw that broke the camel's back. That and the lousy design of their NASCAR chassis.

Anyway - I really don't understand it. I have some Revograms and love them. Favorites include a Grand Sport and couple of Greenwoods. The Daytona Coupe required a lot of work. But the others have been great and I love running those Greenwoods as much or than my Slot.Its. And they were cheap! But then they changed their chassis (or used Sebrings) in later years and I didn't care for them as much.
