Body work

Postby spaceshoes » Mon Jun 24, 2013 7:51 am

It's been a long time since I've done some body work on a slot car and I can't remember what I used. I'm converting some COT's to some Gen6 NASCARS and will need some body filler to fill in some lines that I may or may not have created with a saw :o What do you all use for body filler? Thanks!

Thanks guys. I'm assuming that stuff is able to be sanded. Is that correct?

Thanks for the reply and the coupon reminder. Now, if only HL weren't 45 minutes away! I'll check out Michaels first.

I use Testor's red putty. It works fine, and I never get around to trying anything else.

I like Tamiya body filler. Works great for filling holes, dips, etc. You can even thin it by using their liquid cement, a little trick I learned when I used to model armored vehicles. ;)

I use Tamiya filler for what you want to do. Also I have just started to use some 1:1 body filler. I had a large tube that is years old. It works pretty good.

Tamiya filler get's my vote. I use Milliput for modelling jobs like drivers' clothes.
