Just a heads up, these kits are a bit undersize like closer to 1/35, which doesn`t matter much,but it might be a chore fitting a HRS under them.

If the HRS2 won't fit, I have lots of wire and brass sitting here. Once the kit arrives, I'll quickly figure out what direction I will be going.

Yea I`m sure you wil figure something out, probably be right up your alley with the brass chassis you`re capable of constructing. Here is one from the same line I did a couple years ago. It was a PIA with the size and nothing much to hide any type of RTR chassis. Ended up just building a wire frame inside the plastic kit chassis.

The body on those kits come in two halves, 1 left,1 right.So you might have to do some test fitting when mounting the body to the chassis. :x Just a "heads up".

I did the Ford, I used a chassis from the Pioneer Stang, it is a little small but I like it

Its a lot easier than it seems to build a metalwork frame inside a plastic kit chassis. That's how I did the two "Sportsman" kits I did just before the move from old HRW. Once you start, its pretty easy to do. You just have to plan it in such a way as to not melt the plastic you are using as a form! Its fun, really.

I've had one in progress for ages. Stalled in search of a driver that will fit and the horrors of BMF. One day I'll finished it, I suppose.

I built one '49 Ford and one Chevy both on HRS inline chassis. They fit with a little trimming.
They are not enough undersize to be objectionable. The bodies are three piece, the two sides
and the top have to be glued together. And they don't fit real well, so you need to do a lot
of fitting. I also did the T-bucket and the Deuce roadster as slot cars. Both using the Slot-it
inline motor pod as the basis for a kit-bashed chassis.
