TGIF - Projects In Force

Postby HomeRacingWorld » Fri Apr 26, 2013 5:12 am

Well it has been a pretty decent week so far. With new review models being slow this time of year, it allows more time on projects.

And I have enough of them, 1/32 and 1/25! :) Parts arrived for some Classic Carrera rebuilds. I am really looking forward to these as I know they will make some great runners in our classic series.

Will continue my 1/25 40 Ford Jalopy. Paul Gage is a madman making some great custom tires in this series.

With our weather simply crazy, it makes it even better to plan some indoor fun. I prefer painting on warmer days of course but looks like Spring might actually be here. You know Wed morning we woke up to SNOW and yesterday I was cleaning gutters and cutting grass.

What are you working on?

I received the decals for the 70 Camaro HRW Stocker Series. Gonna try and get the paint on it this weekend, and might just have to take a extra day off work to hopefully get it all done.

I'm still behind on my projects, just too much going on. All I have done this week is rake leaves, clean gutters, pick up sticks and small branches, bagged everything, and now on to the grass mowing. I think my body is rebelling to all this activity. It's no fun getting old. :D

I'm hoping to finish that Devin SS resin kit that's been on my to-do list for months. The body is sprayed and the detail work is underway. One more trip to the hobby shop should give me all of the paints that I need to add the finishing touches.

The big project is cleaning up my work area. That's where my Saturday will go. If I never post on here again, it's because the mound on my desk fell on me and I got crushed under it.

Knocking out some work to make next week (a teensy bit) less hectic for me.

Getting some other work done.

Catching up on chores.

Driving around for no reason in the BRZ.

Yep!

I need to acquire a body and chassis for the zipper-top thing.

I may post a photo of the large pile of resins I would have on my work bench, if I had room for a work bench. I have been slowly trimming down some lumpy but cool resin bodies for proxy cars. Oddly, the rear wheel arches on these resins are not in line with each other, so I need to adjust them as well as I can. Not sure how the guy got that part wrong.

The Hell of Unfinished Projects

Image

I mostly bought ready-to-runs and lots and lots of track last year, but this year it's pretty much all kits kits kits.

Nice pile :)

It just grows no matter how "hard" you work. The pile just keeps multiplying :)

I think I'm just going to give up...I have too many!

At the moment, I have a house full of teenaged girls celebrating my daughter's 18th birthday. Help! I need some manly inspiration! Too much estrogen here!

A houseful of 18 year old girls? Forget it, mate. There's no cure for that much concentrated estrogen. Just open your wallet, hand over the car keys and run to the man cave immediately.
