This car is becoming quite numerous on my track since I made a mold of it. Using one of the Brass Chassis I cobbled together I set out to build another 906. I really liked the paint on the Cobra and decided a 906 would look nice in this color scheme.
A resin cast body, aluminium insert wheels, with home cast inserts are the components used. I fabricated the driver tray and rear deck using light weight foam board sanded down to a thin wafer.
Vacuum formed the glass on the rear deck and then fashioned the windshield and side windows using plastic packaging that came from some light bulbs I bought. Decals are a combination of ones I made and others I found in my decal drawer.
Chassis is an inline and has a drop arm. I stuck a 33000 little ripper in this. A 36 tooth spur gear makes this motor more drivable on my home track. I found it to be very hard to control with a 24 tooth gear as it operated more like an on off switch. The bigger gear really smoothed out the performance.
