Policar Formula Cars

Postby WB2 » Thu Feb 22, 2018 2:09 pm

Been looking at these cars lately.
One thing that looks odd are the drivers’ heads: they appear to be looking to the sky. Is the head attached to the body at a goofy angle, or is it a separate helmet that doesn’t sit on the head properly?
Has anyone been bothered with this enough to mess with it?

My Jackie Stewart and Emerson Fittipaldi figures appear to be in a natural drivers position.
The attention to detail of the helmets for each of these drivers is exceptional.
Both cars drive beautifully here on my Ninco 6 lane in stock out-of-the-box condition.

My Sir Jackie was also star gazing when I got the March.

I wiggled and pried to get the helmet off, then filed a little on the tabs that mount the helmet to the head and re-positioned the helmet at a better angle.

I too love the fact that the helmets carry the correct liveries, and I agree fully that these are fantastic race cars.
