Classic Sunday at the Skunkworks - NINCO Mercedes CLK GTR

NINCO Mercedes CLK GTR - Could be considered the "Flagship" of the line back in '98.

Simplistic yet one of the best cars we had to choose from back then.

We didn't know how much we liked the NC-2 until NINCO took it away.

I take these out once in awhile, this one was tucked away deep in The Abyss. Still a fun car to take out for a Sunday Drive :)

Blast from the past!
I didn't get the Mercedes (I just have the Artin version) but have several copies of the Porsche GT1 and the McLaren F1GTR short tail. They are fun cars to run and the grandkids like them too.

They were much more realistically priced back then too.

I have two of them, one stock and the other with an olifer 3D printed chassis and a slot.it motor pod. I love driving the one with the olifer chassis.

Put an NC1 in mine - it kills it in the GT class we run - great car to look at and drive

It’s interesting to read the different tuning options for these cars. I don’t need a pod system chassis myself, but it’s pretty nice that the option is out there.

NC1. That just gets me. It reminds me of the first Porsche 911 GT1 that came with the 1 :P

I guess everybody knows about my love of NC-1's. I still buy them anytime I see them for sale. I have been amazed by the kinds of cars that little motor will run. I built an old vac formed 1/24th '41 Willys for one in a plastic sheet chassis just for fun, and it ran great. I bought a sackful of the little conversion clips so I could get the "ersatz" Ninco motors out of my classics and put NC-1's in all of them. I have a Ninco Mosler that was crap out of the factory sealed box (bent axle, busted wheels, split gear, cracked chassis). Since I was doing major repairs anyway, I put an NC-1 in it. Runs great beside the Mercedes.
