3 Bay Garage Project

I decided I wanted to try my hand at creating some garage space for my new acquisitions. I always loved the HO scale garages my dad had on his layout, so I searched for some pit/garages and settled in on a simple design. The goal was to make it realistic enough at a glance with very little investment.

I have access to scrap foamcore at work, so that's a big bonus off the bat. I used Google Images to find images of items like doors, roofing, windows, signage etc. Printed them off and started applying them with 3M spray adhesive. For the smaller features a good old glue stick seems to work well. I picked up some styrene sheets and started trimming out the door openings so you can't see the middle of the foamcore, and the joints were cut on an angle to give a smooth exterior appearance.

With a solid roof it's quite dark in the garage, so I need to figure out how to possibly add some dim led's or maybe use some clear lexan and cut in a skylight?

Got the roof glued on and steel roofing image laid down. Trimmed the top with styrene and added some roof vents and rear entry doors. All I need to do not if add some color to the stryrene trim pieces.

Outstanding! I wish I had the space for more scenery like this.
