A couple of Japanese hard bodies to convert

Postby viejoronnie » Mon Jan 08, 2018 9:56 pm

1/28'ish 1977 Ferrari 365 GT4/BB LeMans. Thinking about a simple printed circuit board pan chassis with Slot It components.

1/32 1986 Porsche 959 mini 4WD with two speed selectable final gear ratio. Planning on replacing stock FA30 hobby motor with FA30 that can handle 10-12v and putting a guide on it as is.

Nice subjects.
Is that the Tamiya 959? That is one of the projects on my bench....
And that's an interesting if somewhat oversized Ferrari.....will be interested in seeing it done!

The Nitto 1/28 Le Mans series cars seem closer to perhaps 1/30 scale in width, but lengthwise they do appear to be 1/32.

The Fujimi 959, is 1/32. I may widen and extend the front fenders to the doors to represent the 1986 or 1987 Le Mans entries using a casting of the 935 "Baby" fenders.
