Hey ccobra, these look pretty cool. I have a question though. The description says 12v-36v. Is this just the voltage that goes into it, and can it drop the voltage below 12v ?

Looking at the reviews 12-36 volts seems to be the input voltage.

I read as 12-36 volt input but it still detunes it down. The one I got ranges between 0-13.8 volts with an input of 13.8 volts.

no mention of controllers yet....I found that my PM controller went a long way in taming the Scalextric ff motors.

We run the Scaley Classic GP cars (Lotus 49 & 49B, Eagle Gurney) , stock, with Paul Gage tires. BUT at 8V!! they run great for us, you actually get to see them running and appreciate the details on them as they race!
The 8V also minimizes "accident" damage.
