Just picked this one up yesterday! WOW! Love the Carrera 917, but the Gulf version is awesome. Just chipped it this AM, for duty on the SSD track. Great handling car, and looks super to me. Team Gulf just got a big boost!

Everyone's favorite. How can you not like a 917 in Gulf livery.
The Carrera cars are pretty special IMO. On the downside they are Clunky, but on the upside they are Clunky. They just have this substantial mass to them to make you feel you got your moneys worth. In this hobby you can always find something faster, but for something that just feels well built the Carrera cars are hard to beat.
It is also nice to see that the chassis is quite separable from the shell. i.e the chassis is not the lower tub of the shell. Makes it easy to put a racing chassis under it if you want some speed.
Where did you pick this one up at. I don't think there is a NA supplier of this livery.

I bought mine a few months ago from across the pond. Carrera Slots has the digital version for sale since a couple weeks ago.
