Advice needed! Ferrari 512

Postby btaylor » Fri Sep 29, 2017 4:34 am

Hey Fella's, I need some advice. I am looking for a Ferrari 512, short tail that I can set up digital. I want to build team cars for both 917's and the 512's. I am looking at the Fly versions, but don't know what ones have the best magnets. These will be pacer cars, and have to be stuck down pretty good. I don't care what motor, as I can change all that out. Anyone have a "best" version they can recommend?
Thanks in advance

Pretty sure all the Fly classic cars came with a button magnet - the newer Flyslot cars are inline rather than sidewinder and may have a bar magnet I will check mine in the morning for you

Yup, the older classics with the sidewinder had the neodynium button magnets. Plenty good on the rails, but if the car slides you can get serious wreckage in a hurry. Maybe not a problem with pace cars?

You can also glue on a wider bar magnet from a Slot.it for example.

Thanks guys. I did some more research, and talked to the man upstairs (yea.Harry) and found that i am looking for the alpha chassis versions. Prefix of 707 bla bla bla. So, i ordered up a 512 to get started. It/they, will be running against Carrera 917's and i can motor up or down on the fly cars to match them.
