Back in the day many a Saturday was spent with my dad and mate at Killarney watching the Gunston Peranas of Bob Olthoff and Basil Green being chased by the local hero "Oom" Koos Swanepoel. I was a huge fan of the 181 car, and just like you, this has been on my to-do list for a few years.

It is not easy to get the Gunston orange right, but Zero-paints have the exact match, both brown and orange. I was going to adapt some Patto's decals, but thanks to your info the proper items are on the way.

I've ordered my kit on the famous auction site from a vendor called Slotcar Union, he's in France. Postage might be a problem to RSA.

Yes, I can also remember seeing that A2 through Leeukop at full tilt and you could feel the stand vibrate.

I ordered mine from Pendle, they only had the inline, but Sean was able to get me a SW. Decals are not cheap, but they are on the way, I already have the Zero paint.
