New Carrera Bel Air #90

Postby Dangermouse » Mon Aug 28, 2017 7:23 am

Mine arrived to day - let me start by calling this one of the best looking cars I have seen from Carrera - the photos online don't do it justice it is stunning.

I recall a post on here where someone shared a photo of the actual car - I can't locate this photo now.

If someone could share it I would appreciate it.

cheers
David

I agree, photos do not show off its true beauty.

I'm very happy to hear this David. The '57 revival years ago as a racing car has been quite successful and it seems fans like them! ;)

They should do the 56-57 Ford so it isn't the odd duck on tracks

With so few choices we get for new molds it's unlikely I'd suggest that we do a car to be paired with this sadly. I have ideas about moving into another decade of cars and the 50's aren't getting any fresher in people's minds.

The gold mine would be NASCARs from say 1980-90.....

Most of my LeMans cars would be let go to make room
for entire fields of 80's and early 90's NASCARs.

Just saying....

one can dream...
Slot on, Dudes.........1320 and counting.....

Tons of gold would required to make them I agree. The problem is that now most of those Nascar teams wouldn't want to have decorations of sponsors they no longer have. it's the same issue with the limited license "throwback" liveries on cars... teams will not allow it because they aren't allowed to use the artwork for only about 90 days.

That is very nice. I wasn't aware of that one being released.

Yes, nice car.

Junie Donlavey fielded many cars, this one is driven by Emanuel the "Golden Greek" Zervakis.
