Does anybody know?

Postby waaytoomuchintothis » Sat Aug 19, 2017 4:43 pm

What happened to George Turner Models? The site is still up, but I emailed an order Aug 6, got no answer at all, so I sent it again Aug15. Still no response.

George is still posting news on his site - he recently moved his workshop to new premises maybe that has something to do with him missing your email.
One of his recent posts was about how everything is quiet in August - not a lot of sales as most of Europe shuts down.
I will message him via Facebook and let you know.

I don't trust Facebook after their security comments a few years ago, so I won't see that.

I read his news posts and I couldn't find any reason he would have shut down. I waited 4 years to do this order, Maybe I'll wait until I hear he's operational again.

Thanks for the info guys. I knew you would know something to help.

That's the address I wrote to.

What I have been wanting for years is a pair of McLaren M1A's that I can detail to a level that borders on insanity. I've had the idea for a long time, and its frustrating to hit a wall when I finally ordered.

The Holden Efijy is one of the most exciting concept cars in decades. I haven't figured out those headlights yet. I think they must have scrapped the plan to build a sedan (tub) version. I was looking forward to that.

Well, that's it. George Turner may not be out of business, but if he can't give the courtesy of a reply to several emails, he might as well quit. He's permanently off my list, and I intend to inform others that he his no longer worth bothering with. It was early August when I wrote to him to order several of his models I waited a long time to be able to afford, and it is now October. He's done.

Hi Rob
I contacted George he hadn't received your email but said he will contact you. I gave him your " rhaener at robstafarian.net " email address hope that is correct - must have been a glitch somewhere I think George is a pretty good bloke to deal with. Hope you hear from him and get it sorted as the kits are great and you will enjoy making them.

cheers

I had a mate wait for weeks for a reply and he is a good customer of GT models.
Finally a reply to his email arrived.

And George has a rant on his news blog about people not buying????

I hope Rob you can get it sorted. I have never ever had an issue with George or his products. There must be something somewhere gone astray in the internet as I usually hear from him within a couple of days. I wonder if this was during his big move and re setup.
