Motor Mount

Postby Broman62 » Wed May 10, 2017 5:50 pm

Need some info please...I inadvertently purchased a couple JKD-321 brass motor mounts the other day and when I went to fit some axle bushings to them I discovered that neither 3/16" or 1/4" size fit!! Can anyone tell me what size axle bushing, oilites or brass tubing fit them?? Thanks in advance!!!

Somebody will probably have an answer, but if not, you can either send me the bracket or the oilites to turn to fit. Or both, and I'll make the fit.

Oh, and I recommend reaming the holes a tiny bit at a time to make a solid fit. Remember to solder the oilites in place.

It's suited for using the tubing method you mentioned.

With a single tube, measure and then mount. Then just cut out the center. You can use two individual sections of tubing instead of having to cut the center out.

When you use two individual pieces, it's more difficult to keep the pieces aligned, than when using one long piece, then cutting out the middle. If using two individual pieces, a bushing on both ends of each piece of tubing will help with alignment.
