The 7th(!) Annual Michigan 24 Hour Endurance race is just around the corner – this year’s race will be held from March 31 - April 2, 2017. In addition to the world-class racing, a hallmark of this event is the “Slot Racers Giving Back” (SRGB) fundraising for charity. We're a bit late getting the ball rolling on this year's SRGB fundraising; however, with your support we're confident we can have a successful campaign. We will follow the same general format as last year's event.

• You can purchase tickets online and ticket numbers will be updated and posted regularly throughout the course of the event (see link above). Tickets are $1.00 each.

• A complete list of prizes from charity sponsors will also be published and updated regularly (see link above). We’ve already started lining up sponsors and prizes – there are a lot of GREAT prizes! A partial list of sponsors includes:

Home Racing World
Changing Gears
Cloverleaf Racing
Slot Car Corner Canada
Paul Gage Tires
C.B. Design Wheels
Slot Car Corner
Quick Slicks

If you are interested in donating a prize for this fundraising event, please let us know.

*** Updated: Mar. 23, 2017 - Clarification of How Prizes Will Be Awarded ***

Prizes will be awarded as follows:

1) We will draw a winner for the guitar first. The winner of the guitar will not be eligible to win additional prizes. If you are not interested in the guitar, please let us know (email us at slotracersgivingback [at] gmail [dot] com and we will exclude you from the guitar drawing.

2) We will draw a winner for the Difalco DD-301 controller next. The winner of the Difalco controller will not be eligible to win additional prizes. If you are not interested in the Difalco controller, please let us know (email us at slotracersgivingback [at] gmail [dot] com and we will exclude you from the controller drawing.

3) We will draw for all remaining prizes. Everyone who made a donation, with the exception of the 2 winners of the guitar and Difalco controller drawings described above, is eligible to win one or more of the remaining prizes.

• The deadline to purchase tickets online will be Sunday, April 2nd at 10:00 a.m. ET. A final list of contributors and tickets will then be published.

Like last year’s event, we will “draw” prize winners electronically (randomly) and post results sometime Sunday afternoon.

As in previous years, 100% of the charity raffle proceeds will be donated to actual charities. The total raffle proceeds will be split equally 5 ways – each of the 5 teams participating in this year’s event will then donate their share to a charity of their choice.

Please consider making a donation - $1, $5, $10 or whatever you can afford would be GREATLY appreciated! To make a donation, please click on any of the links below.

On behalf on Clover Leaf Racing and Slot Car Corner Canada, we are excited to announce our commitment to support the Slot Racers Giving Back charity fundraising initiative as Primary Sponsors. So what does this mean? In short, it means we are donating a LOT of prizes that you can potentially win but in turn, you have to make a donation to the fundraiser to be eligible. Clover Leaf Racing, Slot Car Corner Canada and Slot Car Corner have EACH committed to donate the following:

$100.00 gift certificates - qty: 2
$50.00 gift certificates - qty: 2
$25.00 gift certificates - qty: 4
$10.00 gift certificates - qty: 10

This represents 54 prizes (!) with a total retail value of $1,500. Keep in mind the growing list of other prizes that are also available from other sponsors and individuals supporting this event. Making a donation to Slot Racers Giving Back is easy - simply click the link in the post at the top of this thread.

All Canadian customers can make their donation right here, on the Slot Car Corner Canada website:

Slot Racers Giving Back (Slot Car Corner Canada)

Thank you for your donations. Slot Car Corner and Slot Car Corner Canada have decided to donate their 2017 share to the Multiple Sclerosis Societies (in Canada and in the US) for them to continue working on finding a cure for this terrible condition that many of our fellow citizens have to live with for a long time.

Cindy Wise (aka "The General") has donated a custom made metal sign featuring the Slot Racers Giving Back logo. This sign would make a great addition to any slot car track room. If you haven't already made a donation to the SRGB fundraiser, please take a moment to do so. Who knows, you might just win this terrific sign! Thanks to Cindy for donating this great prize!

To All race teams,
I ask that you discuss and post your charities your racing for. SCC has already posted another GREAT charity!
Also if anyone knows of a Company or Business that would do a dollar match please let us know. This is for any HRW racer! Something like a $5, $10,$20 match for every $100 we raise. Example: last year we raised $3400. So a match would be for $10 = $340.
This is our 4th year and so far we raised over $5000 !!!! :text-thankyouyellow:
Lets work together and reach a $4000 goal ! I know WE can do it!
Just a note our 1st year our fundraiser was for a fellow racer fighting cancer. 4 yrs later Benoit is still Cancer FREE!!!! Your donations work!

Thanks Rob

While we can't guarantee you'll win at least one prize if you make a donation, you'd be hard pressed to find a fundraiser with the odds of winning even close to this. To those who have already donated, a sincere "Thank you." If everyone on HRW donated just $1.00 we would raise thousands of dollars for these charities. To donate, please use the link in the first post at the top of this thread.
