SCX Nascar Wheels

ISO- Aluminium wheels to replace the plastic wheels on the scx nascars. I'm looking for the exact size diameter and width as the stock just in aluminium. Any and all info will be greatly appreciated.

I found them there, but I cant seam to find the exact size for the scx nascar. Im thinking the 14x8 would be the correct wheels but just want to clarify before I order.

Would Slot.It fronts for Alfa Romeo 33/3 be worth a try? May not be exact but very close. Slot.It SI-PA33ALS - ALUMINUM WHEELS 14.3 X 8

C.B. Design 15X10 Stock Car wheels would be the thing in the back. You could use 15X8s in the front. I don't think that the SCX tires will work on those wheels. You could put Quick Slicks silicone or Paul Gage urethane tires on the rear wheels. If the SCX axles are knurled you will have to replace the axle and crown gear with Slot.it parts.

I have never had a bad plastic wheel or axle come on any one of my two dozen SCX Nascars. Their build quality was top notch. Because they are so good, I have seen no reason to change those wheels for anything else. Scalectric or Carrera Nascars were a different story. Their splined axles meant for a sloppy axle/bushing fit be used in order for the factory to be able to slide the bushings over the knurls. This caused wheel hop if you put more power and traction down to the track without magnetic attraction. On those cars that I tuned for racing, I did change to SCC's CB Design Nascar wheels with Slot.it axle bits. 15X8 is closest to the stock wheel on all the Nascar brands and was the only wheel allowed for the Davols (Forum) Cup Nascar Proxy.

I just measured an SCX axle and it is 0.0935 inches, so the C.B. Design wheels will work but they will be a snug fit. The C.B. Design wheels are hubless, so the 10mm wide ones would not stick outside of the body.

I have changed the axle and gear to a slot it, I have some aluminum wheels on one of our cars and want to change the rear setup on another car.
