Since I host races for kids I get a lot of broken parts. I also get a lot of wheels rolling down the track.
I have tried crazy glue, goop, etc. None of it seems to work for long. I check for broken hubs and fix them and still the wheels continue to fall of. :violin:
What do you use?

super glue.
A secret shared with me: make sure you drill a tiny hole through the hub opposite of where the axle inserts so the air trapped in the hub doesn't force the glue right back out. You will know its right when a tiny blob of glue comes out the center cap of the wheel.
I'll go look for a video to make up for my poor verbal skills.

If wheels still come off after that, try scratching the axle ends with the pointy edge of a file to the depth of the hub hole before you add the superglue. Works best if done on an angle and about 4 times around the axle end.

I use the superglue and drill a hole as well - but when things get desperate I replace the wheels - LOL - no I use a bit of epoxy such areldite or JB Weld

Just a quick suggestion on this - don't use cheap "Crazy Glue".
Buy a good brand name CA (cyanoacrylate) glue from a name you trust for quality.
I personally use LocTite brand glues on all scales, with no problems.
It's available at Walmart, hardware stores, and plenty of other retail outlets. Reasonably priced, too.
Be sure the wheel and the axle are clean and free of dirt or oil before attempting any repairs.
Also... that tip about an air relief hole is a good one - the man knows what he speaks of!

Hope your wheels keep rollin' straight on down the track - while still attached to the cars!

I picked up a SlotRallyGB TR2 yesterday and one wheel fell off and into a box(spare room, haven't unpacked every box since a house move). I unpacked the box carefully, still no wheel. Not impressed as this was a Mitoos wire wheel and tyre, brand new. Can't spend all day on my knees these days so I resolved to use another plain alloy wheel and put the steel wheel insert in it, replace rear wire with a front wire, then the steely goes on the front where it does nothing and looks like a puncture repair!
