I looked at the chef's knife on that site. LOL! In 22 years of cooking, catering, and in competition, I have never seen an 8 inch knife that cost $400. I still haven't seen one that was worth $400. What kind of site is that? Or is this one of those dry wit things and you like the site for big laughs at how yuppie larva blow money trying to impress each other? Maybe I should have looked further after the one insane example?

They buy overstock items at bargain prices, then offer good deals on a single item for a 24 hour period. This offer expires at 1 AM EST.

If that knife was selling on Woot for 400 bucks, then it probably retailed (reasonably or not) for 600 or more. Their deals are generally very, very good.

This set is 80 bucks for two Ferrari 599s, and a Carrera figure 8 track -- pretty good deal. :)

Woot! is a cool site. They had LED Lenser two color flashlights yesterday for $9.99, normally $30.00, not bad. I get their daily email bargains. Some things are just to hard to pass up. :banana-rock:
