Here are the rules for the 2016 Ford-Ferrari Wars Proxy. We're keeping them pretty simple in order to provide you with an opportunity to build the car that you want the way you want it.

Scale - 1/32
Cars - Any Ford / Any Ferrari
Time period - 1960-1975 (this catches all the Ford Cobras, GT-40s and P68's and all the Ferraris from the 250 Testa Rossa up to the 312 and 512P models; including privateer entries raced after the manufacturing stopped. This period was chosen because there really weren't any Ford-Ferrari Wars that took place outside this timeframe)
Body - Plastic or resin body
Chassis - Plastic, metal or other; RTR or scratch-built and everything in between / podded and non-podded.
Tires - Rubber or urethane fronts and rears
Motor - 22,000 rpm or lower manufacturers rating
Interior - At least a driver's head, shoulders and arms with partial steering wheel and as much of the dash as goes with the driver / all glass in place / windscreens fine on roadsters
Proportions - Tires and guide not visible from above; try to keep the car looking period
Clearance - 1.0mm minimum
Weight - needs to be mounted inside the chassis/body to protect host tracks from accidental weight detachment
Numbers - duplicate numbers are OK
Designation - name and body screw adjustment information, if any, on bottom or chassis
Everything else - open

Due date for receipt at The River Run is March 31, 2016.

Limited to 2 cars per racer.

Tracks - we will probably have 12 tracks across the US/Canada and outside and the proxy will probably run for about 6-7 months as the cars journey from track to track. I'll be posting a list of tracks and their specs within a month.

Allan I will go GT 40. and good old 23 please.
Also Lake on the Mountain would be happy to host , 3 lane routed 87ish feet road course copper tape and variable power supply. I think, there are pics of it on Bob or Daves post of one of the other proxies.

I am definitely in to host (PM sent) and will be looking at what I have in the way of bodies / donor vehicles for my entries - but definitely want to participate based on the "theme" and the rules above. :D
(I have another new chassis idea brewing in my head that I want to try! )

Can you change my Ford entry from a GT40 to a Mirage M1, please - I am going to go for a fully South African episode of the FFW, the Kyalami 1968 9-hour endurance event. Jackie Ickx and David Hobbs in the #1 Gulf-sponsored Mirage M1 took a second successive victory for the car, and then I will stick with the #4 Gunston Ferrari 350 of Paul Hawkins that came in 3rd.
