Mine's out of the paint booth and wearing decals, but has yet to see any track time and will definitely need to be sorted out. I'm fine with the extension.

I just have to swap out the motor on mine but we are having out of town family and having all the kitchen counters replaced, so I'm all for the extension! 30 June sounds good from here!

Well........my cars are on the way. But the extension could be beneficial if the initial run shows they have issues :lol:
I have run them on my track and on Racer1h's Carrera track so they should be partially sorted, but if further adjustments can be made, that certainly wouldn't hurt.

An extension would be fine. Custom decals necessary to change Fangio's car to Levegh's car are proving quite problematic. That aside, it seems likely that #20 will show up in MA with no track time.

Thanks for the extension, assuming from the responses so far that it will happen.

Well, that's 11 out of 21 registered builders in favor or OK with the extension; the others haven't chimed in yet. So, the 30th it is! I'll ask Bob to change the title line to reflect the new due date.

Paint goes on the Chaparral and the Ferrari today! Will post some pics to the ROAR build thread early next week.

It's getting lonely here..........over a week and no new cars.......... :cry:

Cars are in-house from: nor cal mike, chappy, sadco racing, retro racer 44 and chappyman.

I've heard from: btaylor (shipped), bookie, shotgunDave, studiors, tsgtret, slotting since 1963, rleog, mclaims and urbanwarrior.

But, I haven't heard from any of the rest of you. Let me know what's up and how you're builds are looking for the June 30th deadline; it's less that two weeks away and with an average delivery time of about a week between post and receipt, we're only about a week off the usual send time......

The #20 Mercedes Benz 300 SLR body met a rather warmer incandescent lamp than hoped while trying to accelerate the drying of clear finish coat in a too humid environment. Am scrambling about trying to find a replacement Scalex #19 to become a donor; but they aren't common.

The #20 may become a scratch.
