ROAR back in Canada - The Ring

ROAR back in Canada - The Ring

Postby DArt » Sat May 28, 2016 5:13 am

Gentlemen,
The long awaited ROAR box which happened to have 22 cars in it along with stickers, flags and some reading material all arrived by airship in fine condition at The Ring. Everything looks to be in order as Herr Stroebl, track manager & race director inspected every entry. The usual pre-race prep is done. Qualifying and the race proper are scheduled for today and tomorrow - the usual reportage, pictures and results will follow... stay tuned!
Good luck to every participant!
Art :P

It looks like DArt has gone HRW AWOL. The reasons for this may be obscure or innocent but it could be interesting to speculate, while we're waiting.

Here are a couple of starters. Feel free to chime in.

Reasons for the delay in posting:

1. The lead post in this thread is DArt's first post. Subsequently he forgot his password.

2. The race has been completed but posting of results will have to wait until after completion of The Stanley Cup.

Art always runs a great round at The Ring. Let's wait to see what he comes back with when he gets back on the forum.

Without doubt, the round at The Ring will be a good one.

3. Course and timing malfunction at The Ring required importing parts from the Nurburgring.

4. There was the plastic version of a Noro Virus epidemic, and all the little people at the Ring were either sick in bed or lined up at the washrooms.

Obviously, this would delay the race, eh?

Cheers,

Does anyone know what's going on with DArt. He joined the forum on May 20th and his first and most recent visit to this forum was his initial post to this thread on May 28th.

The ROAR has once again become a WHIMPER.

Allan, I know this is a common occurrence with his business orders, but it seems strange that we can't contact him .

His last visit on SCI was June 7th.

Could any of our Toronto area racers try to track him down, or at least retrieve the box of cars? I grew up in the GTA, and it is not a nice place to drive in. I hope he is ok.

Hi Keith, He is OK; and that is the most important thing.

I received a message for him this afternoon. The Round at The Ring has been run and he has results and pics that he'll post as soon as he gets out from under what is at this time a very heavy schedule. So, stay tuned and the results should be forthcoming soon.

So if this proxy has already been run, have the cars been shipped on?
