I've never heard of melamine as a track surface, but it looks like the type of surface that the cars would really hook up well on.

The little Mk1 Chappy seems to like Australia!

Here's a huge cheer to our mates down under, Rossko and Graham, for two very well done rounds of the ROAR Down Under. The field of roadsters was thoroughly wrung out by you guys. All six lanes used for what appear to be two minute heats with some very close racing for positions.

Thanks for doing us proud, mates, and congratulations to all contestants as this proxy enters its final rounds.

Rossko and Graham, thanks a lot for bringing us two very exciting rounds on tracks in Sydney that HRW proxy cars have never run on before! :text-bravo: That, in and of itself is really exciting for all of the racers.

The races, results reports and pics were all very well done.

We hope that we can entice you to join in some of the future HRW proxy races; not only with your tracks, but also with your cars. I know that Rossko is active in the Group 5 North American proxy over on the SCI board (doing very well with the #51 Racer BMW M1), and maybe one or two others, but if you have an interest in scratch-built cars and in "cars with character", then HRW is the place to look for proxy races that have a big FUN component to them!

Thanks again for running these two rounds for us; you did a great job, and we look forward to seeing both of you and your friends in more HRW proxy races! :auto-layrubber:

I'll PM you later today with the next track destination, as these cars make their way back to North America; having soon circumnavigated the globe.

Thanks fellas for running these races. Great track and photos, good on ya! Tickled to see that corporate money in the top five lol.

I spent some time down under a few years ago and was able to spend an evening at a commercial track while in Perth, a couple of nice tracks that ran womps, etc. However in Adelaide a friend took me to an establishment that had five or six awesome routed tracks, all 1/32! The owner gave me a controller and a handful of cars and told me to have at it. It wasn't race night but I had a ball running against some of the locals "practicing". I came away quite impressed with slots down under.
