Whatever happened to the ROAR?

With the holidays we never had a full team available to run the races.
As from next week we are all back and ready to race.

Timing sounds good to me! This weekend is the "ROAR before the 24" - the prep for the Daytona Rolex 24 hour race. Bob (rleog) just reminded me of that this morning.

There was a problem with car nr 4T and was not able to complete any lap. Richard will contact the owner, fix her up and will run her qualies just before the race.

I was at the Ring yesterday in Mississauga Ont.
The track is in top form and posters are hung advertising Roars next round in February.
So the excitement is constantly building on this great Roadsters Over America Race.
Perhaps it should be Roadsters Over Atlantic Race with SA in the mix lol.

It's not only SA in the mix with two races, it's New Zealand in the mix (munter's Anacoda and Dave West's track in Orakei), also with two races, and now it looks like it will also be Australia in the mix with one or two races, then the cars will go to the next NA venue. So, February for The Ring is going to be early; probably more like April, if we can get the other races completed and in the books.

Awesome , more races, good thing we dont get little flags for them all, or my trunks would be too small.
But then it would look cool.

The race on 1953 was concluded on Thursday evening.

We dubbed it "Minute to Win It".

Each heat was 1 minute long. Each car was raced for 1 minute on each of the three lanes on 1953.
The Race Director Jack put up the field and set up the timing system on a round robin.
We had loads of fun racing all these awesome cars, some were very fast but the handling was not the best, then you had slower cars with fantastic handling and then the racers of racers, those with good speeds and exceptional handling. They were all awesome to drive, thank you for entrusting us with your gems.
