That, unfortunately is it for the videos. I subbed in as a driver from here on. :)

Some pictures shot during the racing action and at the end where every car was moved on to the track in it's respective finish position during it's last lane... Enjoy!

I am surprised at how fast they are on that big track given the NC1ish motors they are running. How many volts were you guys using? Maybe it is just that my eye is so used to my tight & twisty track with the longest 10 ft. straight, anything bigger makes the cars seem like a rocket ship.

Mike -
We run the track at 12v - they just look fast in the videos. :)
To give you an idea, most of the field posted top qualifying times in the upper 9 second through 10 second range - the non-mag Scalextric/Carrera class we run on the same track using stock motors and gearing is roughly a full second faster than that.
But I will say - the top qualifying cars are definitely no slouches even with the 14k rpm motors and cars that have tall gearing definitely were stretching their legs on the long straights and big sweeping corners! :)

Lots of pictures of the road course race that was run a week ago, and lots of YouTube videos. Even several teaser pics of "Ending Positions."

Why aren't the race results posted?

Sorry for the delay guys!
The re-roof project I had going on (Amish crew with anywhere between 4 and 10 guys spread over two weeks working around weather, etc) - kind of took on it's own life! :o

But the good news is, the new standing seam roof, with associated facia and soffits is now complete and life can return back to some type of normalcy! :D

I am in the process of getting the Land Speed Gasser info posted this morning and will get the results info for this race posted a bit later today. :handgestures-thumbup:

I wasn't aware of the Amish roofing party. Glad to hear that you'll have a new roof overhead.

:D Yeah - the roof was originally scheduled for the beginning of September - but with things being relatively dry through late July / beginning of August (other than the cloud burst on day 4 on my project) they were able to pull my job up and knock it out this month instead. :D

VERY happy with the results!
Here is a shot of the completed "simple" side...
(the back side has another room that comes off at a 90 degree, so there are two valleys from that, along with two separate chimneys, a bay window section and a side porch that all tie in as well... :o )

And now for the long awaited...

The long straights and big sweeping corners of this course really played strong to the cars running tall gears - really allowing them to stretch their legs and get up and run - and boy can some of these cars run!!!

There was a LOT of great door to door action all through the pack (as some of the videos also show) and a number of positions came down to mere feet on the final lap! :handgestures-thumbup:

Before the segments were added in, there were three way ties for: third, seventh, tenth and thirteenth - plus a two way tie for seventeenth! :o

Even with the segments factored in - we did have one "photo" finish - that coincidentally also fell right at the finish line! :D
It shows the #30 car with the #22 literally at it's back bumper! (see below)
:banana-dance:

So without further ado - here is the official finishing order!

I will be updating the Series spreadsheet shortly and will post the link once completed.
Enjoy! :D

Thanks Todd and crew from Mark's Model World for all the time and effort put into this. There's obviously close racing going on in a number of areas and it's fun to follow.

Well done!
