I've been thinking about how to run the Team Championship scores for the ROAR and here's what I've come up with.............
For teams with 1-2 cars, the top car in each race will count for the Team Championship points.
For teams with 3-4 cars, the top two cars in each race will count.
For teams with 4-6 cars, the top three cars in each race will count.
For teams with more than 6 cars, the top four cars in each race will count.
The scores for all cars that will count in the Championship points will be added together and divided by the number of cars. It will be a high point scoring system, with the first place car getting 23 points (we have 23 cars entered), second place car getting 22 points, etc.
So, for Teams Aston Martin, Corvette, MG and Mercedes-Benz, it will be one car, one score and no divisor. For Teams Porsche, Ferrari and Chaparral it will be the top two cars, scores added and divided by two. For Team Jaguar, it will be the top four cars, scores added and divided by 4.
We'll take the best scoring cars from each Team for each race; in other words, if one car did not qualify for the championship points in the first race, it could still qualify in each of the other races; sort of a "best car(s)" approach to the Team Championship.
So, let me hear what you think about this Team Championship scoring proposal.
