Porsche 550A

Postby BARC 1 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 1:33 pm

I scratch built a couple more cars this past week, This one is a Porsche 550A coupe

This was built to go, and a little less show so excuse the oversize rear tires. However, I did not have to enlarge the wheel openings to make these fit.

A Gift Card Chassis in an inline configuration, using the new "BARC Block" motor. A 16000 rpm motor with a 6 pole armature with great brakes. It has become my favorite motor displacing the N motors I had been using. Nowhere near the top end but much better torque and the brakes, did I mention the brakes. Results in an easier car to drive fast.

The shell is a resin home cast.

Tires are home cast "BARC Bite" urethanes Last photo has it posed up beside a 143 infamous Mini. :D ( which it was built to try and beat!!!!)

Looks great! The 550 coupe was always one of my favorite Porsches.
