I am not sure where buildings are supposed to go, but I let a little bit of my model Railroading background out for this one.

I needed a trackside race offical's office so I scratchbuilt this one. As I was building it, one thing lead to another and I had way more detail into this then anything else so far on my track.

Chalkboard is functional so is usable for posting the track record

I plan on some photo ops for some of the proxy racers around this, and it should be a focal point of the activity.

It's awesome and I second the praise for the chalkboard idea. Where did you find a tiny one?

Thanks for the comments. I had fun building this as it allowed me to tap into some building skills I have not used for some time. The Goodyear logos need to be redone though. They are not straight.

The chalkboard was built using white styrene painted flat black. Using a fine point dental pick and a steel straight edge I then scratched through the black paint and exposed the white styrene and it looks like white lines. I then sharpened a piece of real chalk to a needle point and wrote on the board. So I can update the leader board as the chalk can be erased leaving only the scribed white grid.

I plan on building some furniture , or look for some O scale stuff online to finish the interior

Cheers

Dan

I use photos to pick out things I have built that maybe are not up to prime time. The photos indicated that the Goodyear Banner was not straight, and I also wanted to add more color to the building.

So I did that today

I also built a functioning central clock tower on Pit Row. I also redid the banners on the pit boxes. They are not fixed and are removable so I can place other banners in the boxes to change things up. Clock tower is just placed and not permanently mounted yet.
