The 917 in Gulf livery has always been one of my favorites, so I built another one.
Again built on a Gift Card Chassis. This chassis continues to be modified at each build trying to get the best performance out of it. In this case the FF30N motor was lowered and moved back as far as it could. This also left room in the cockpit for a full interior which I took advantage of The chassis is now a mix with brass bars to stiffen and to lower the CG. With no mag the additional weight also helps for better traction.
Thin and low to the ground allows a scale like stance for these 1/43 scale slot cars.
The body is a resin casting I pulled and the glass is vacuum formed. Decal by Pattos. Paint was airbrushed and then Future floor conditioner used for shine.
And the team mates running together.
