A little progress. Got driver figure to fit and detailed with paint.
Can position the Brooklands screen in relation to the driver now.

Sprayed some Tamiya light grey primer on revealing gaps that need to be filled and edges that require more sanding.
Test fitted more parts. The Clubman Racer look is working out.

Got a nice dark blue metallic curing.
Sprayed Tamiya TS-15 Blue, TS-64 Dark Mica Blue and TS-53 Deep Metallic Blue in that order.
Can hardly wait for final assembly.

Pretty much done. Paint detailed and attached the little bits.
Good outcome, modeling and running-wise.
I'm liking these small 1/24 builds. Got a Bugeye Sprite next and then a Lotus Elan in the wings.

Done. Applied roundel decals and Future acrylic finish.
Now have a big brother for my 1:32 Scalextric Super 7.
Won't look this clean again as track running begins.

Turned out I was missing the exhaust pipe. The used kit's was broken so I made one with 1/16" piano wire and brass tubing (5/32", 1/8", 3/32").
Sprayed on Tamiya light grey primer and TS-30 Silver Leaf to finish.
Now we're done.

Browsing the latest posts this morning, I noticed "Lotus 7" - thought to myself, "That's different, could be interesting." So I click through:
Of course, its another VTEC post.
Last photo with the side pipes, looks good enough for box art...too bad casting that body in resin would be a challenge. 8-)
