The Mustang is a little too big but could be usable. I am going to include some details about a different Maisto car here because I am working on it.



This is the 1/24 Challenger. I got it for under $20. I have a comparable model car in 1/25 scale and here are the 2 side by side.



I actually think it might be pretty close because the difference between the 2 scales is noticeable. When I ordered it they said colors may vary and I got stuck with green. Not my favorite but it is growing on me.

Here is a detail of the inside of the headlights, and you can see it is perfect for installing LED lights, even having grooves for the metal prongs.



Here is the rear, again with perfect locations for bulbs.



Here is the inside. I will have to fabricate an interior or run with the tinted windows.



The detail is pretty good, with nice graphics.




Not a bad shortcut to a custom built car without worrying about the paint. I had been using model cars for custom builds but these seem like they can take a little more abuse. The Bentley is really tempting to me as well, but I already have the Scaley version in 1/32.
