Good modeling progress. Sprayed Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red and paint detailed the window surrounds, vents, screens, engine cover, gas caps, hinges, tail lights and headlight covers.

3DRon, our club's 3D whiz, printed Cromadora wheel inserts that nicely finished off the details.

Window glass and driver interior tray left to finish.

Pleased with the results.

Very nice! The black window/rear louvers/etc. detail really sets off the body.

Done!

Vac-formed windows glued in and driver figure installed.

Like the decal-less look so will leave off for now.

Another good outcome on the modeling and performance front.

Onto the next build.

Nice build. Any pointers on the vacuum formed windows? I'm getting ready to try it for the first time in a couple of days. I'm thinking of using the plastic from one of the vegetable trays you get at the supermarket cut down into a square to fit the vacuum form machine.

The vegetable tray plastic tray material should work assuming it's polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG). I use cut down sheets of PETG ,.010" or .020" thick, purchased from an industrial plastics supply house. The clear material comes with a protective, tear off film on both sides.

I make male molds of the original windscreens from plaster of paris and more recently silicone. The latter is way more durable than the former when multiple windows are vac-formed.

Hope that helps.

3DRon, your 3DP whiz, wouldn't consider printing that body, would he...………..?

Doubt it as he's politely declined from doing body rendition files for us locals as it would take too much time from his already busy schedule of family, work and other hobbies.

He directs us to Hum3D if we want a body file for a fee.
