Resurected Strommie 62 Vette.

Got an early start on this one today. Body was an Ebay lot find, with 7 coats of brush paint. It had been in stripper for weeks, and I thought would see what I could do with it. I used my old stand by Artin chassis. Carrera stocker wheels and axles, brass bushings, Piranha motor, slotting plus guide, and a set of TRU tires to round out the build. The color is Ace Ivory on body and wheels, decals are scrap box, as are the little bits like mirror and tach, roll bar. Fun little build for my 10 volt class. it is very smooth and quiet, no mag. Looking for another body like this if anyone has an extra they would part with.

What a fun project. I never finished a similar car. Makes me want to go dig it out and finish up. Great choice of wheels, too. Looks natural. Seven coats of brushed on paint? AAAAUUUUUGGGGGHHHH!!!!!

These were the same way, each had for or five different colors added over the decades.

Great "resurrection" on the Vette! I have one of those squirreled away that was missing the windshield - I may have to look at doing the same mod you did when I go to build it up! Thanks for sharing! :)
