Going with a steel wheel-look insert.



They're resin copies from a cut down Tamiya 1/24 Lotus Super 7 wheel to fit the RS Slot Racing wheel. Made them for my 1/24 Super 7 build



They've got an understated look that I'm shooting for.





Thinking a light pearl blue, the Tamiya spray one, for the finish with flat aluminum brushed on the inserts.

Went for a dark blue finish instead so sprayed on Tamiya Blue TS-15, Dark Mica Blue TS-64 and Deep Metallic Blue TS-53 in that order.







Accented the rims in a lighter Tamiya TS-10 French Blue.

Saw a 1:1 37 Ford in these shades of blue and liked the look.

Paint details to come.

Done!

Chassis's drivetrain and guide are in place. Power's a BWA low rpm slimline with 10t and 24t gears for a 2.4:1 gear ratio. Scale Auto Universal guide, 7mm deep, is my go to one.



"Carol's" in place, cast from Luf's mold.

Body paint details done with Tamiya flat aluminum and flat black. Just need some Clear Red for the tailights. Vac formed single-piece windows secured with UV-activated glue. Really like fast gluing windscreens and small bits with this.









Everyone`s happy with the outcome.
