Got final coats of Tamiya Pure White on.

Needs the double blue stripe now as that's a lot of white.

Super nice build Dan! I always liked this model. I had a glue-bombed version I got off eBay that I just couldn't save to cast.

Pretty much done with headlight lenses (5mm from Pendle Slot) and driver figure (MRRC Toyota Celica) installed.

Went simple on paint accents with dark blue scallops on the fenders rather than double stripes down the middle.

Just got to find wheel knock-offs and script-like numbers. Then we're done.

Hi Dan, looks great, a very classy livery !!, and, those Pendle lens are really quite nice.......

I gather that you modelled this car after one that is intended to run in a current full scale "vintage" series :) .......otherwise, the shoulder harnesses, and full face helmet, do seem a little out of place ;)

Cheers

Hi Chris,

Thought I'd get a comment about continuity. Needed a full figure to fill the void and that's all I had in the parts bin. Driver's just attached to the motor so easily replaced. I'm thinking an Immense Miniatures figure would fit the bill.

For now, yes, let's say it's a current vintage racing class entry.

Widened the blue scallops accents by the headlights as I always thought they were done too narrow.

That's better.

Applied vinyl script-like numbers. Thanks Luf for making them.

Still can't find the wheel knock offs in my parts stash to finish it off. I know they're somewhere. Just where?

Found the BRM wire wheel knock-offs. Of course, it was in a box not labeled "wheels"!

We're done now.
