WIP Ferrari 158

Postby BARC 1 » Sat Sep 09, 2017 10:48 am

I started working on the next Vintage F1 car. A 1964 Ferrari 158. I first built the chassis using brass plate and Lego. I purchased multiple Scalextrics Lotus 49 Front ends. This really simplifies things as I only have to solder up the rear suspension. A Minebea S can again is used and is very well suited to these small narrow cars. I added some PGT to my earlier Honda effort and it is now turning laps times on par with the Avant chassis s I have on my small home track.

A resin shell has been worked on to better represent a Ferrari 158. It is ready for its first coat of primer, and I will then be able to tell how much more work it needs.
