Body's mounted.

Would have liked it lower but there'd be tire rub with the existing wheel\tire combination.

Thought it was ready for a test run but the brand new Scale Auto motor proved to be a dud barely turning. Guess you're bound to get a bad one once in a while. Will get a replacement ASAP.

Done!

Installed a MRRC motor, applied the one decal, Firestone logo, made a rollbar out of aluminum tube and got a driver figure in.

Finished off with vinyl cut roundels by Luf that helped mute the all black finish

Wasn't much room for a driver figure. Needed filing down of the upper torso and mounting on top of the motor.

Did a best lap of 7.8 on Luf's Big Targa, a reasonable one to keep up with the stock Slot Its.

Happy with the outcome, modeling and performance-wise.

Nice job! Love the oddball CanAms, and that's a cool one. Not a bad lap on the Targa, if you can hang with the Slot-it cars.

Nice build. Quite the subject car. It looks like it goes fast.

I realize I am about a year and a half tardy, but “Nice job, Dan!” I always loved the Shadows, have Don Nichols book, a great story.

The CG body is another nice Essex County, Massachusetts Slot car product... :flags-waveusa:

I'm late adding my compliments too - great replica from the 'anything goes' Can-Am era. I wonder if having that intake right over the driver's head made getting in and out difficult, or generated some sort of whistle the driver had to contend with.

I have a CG Slotcars Shadow DN4 that is a real looker too. I renumbered it from the #1 of George Folmer to the #101 of Jackie Oliver. Even though McLaren and Porsche dominated the series, a representative Can-Am grid would not be complete without a Shadow in the mix.
