My friend and I were just talking about Opel GT's at Thanksgiving. He and his fiance come to see me twice a year from far away, and we talk continuously while they are here. He is going to buy an Opel GT he has been admiring and I should get a photo soon. My wife and I almost bought one in 1972 from the Buick dealer.

What chassis are you running? I can only assume the paint job will be amazing

Brumos you asked about the chassis for this.

Here it is, some engineering piece ha!!!

From Pioneer, with a major haircut with the grinder. Had to cut it in half to shorten it too!!

Hot glued back together.

Also pulled the washers out of the axles, cut the axles, and grease them up well to get some width taken out.

Most of my cars have been through some major wars and haven't broke yet!!

Added a coat of Camel Yellow from Tamiya, and painted out the bumpers in flat black.

Achieved the "stripe" by taping out the original orange color.

Yup, that yellow is good. Leaving the orange, or changing the stripe?

Wanted to see how the "orange" looked and really isn't popping so the thought is to go with a black stripe instead.

Hoping to get that applied on Wednesday and see what that does!!

Boyz decided the orange stripe just didn't have the punch and when to a black tape stripe kit.

I also like the orange stripe, mayby with a 0.03 black pin stripe down each side would have made it pop a bit more. However the solid black stripe is always a racy winner. looks nice !
you must have more pioneer chassis then pioneer does
