I don't have one of the new MR Slotcar McLaren F1 GTR but this old Ninco re-chassied will do in the meantime. Coincidentally my Mercedes CLK GTR's chassis has the right track, front and rear, so will fit without much work.

Body wil be mounted soon for a test run.

It's fun making our own to put under these classics. Nice choice.

Love seeing these come back to life. I have often thought a brass plumber chassis would make the McLaren and interesting competitor to a Slot-It.
Nice work!

Made some changes that`ll serve either Ninco body use.

- upgraded motor to NSR 21K boxer
- changed front wheels to painted black plastic
- added 4g lead behind the guide

Mounted body at the rear directly to a plastic plate that`s affixed to the two original posts. Front`s a fabricated single styrene post. Again, didn`t have to modify the interior tray as Ninco`s stock one is shallow enough.

Stance is good.

Curious to see how fast lap is different from the Mercedes CLK GTR body on the same chassis.
